Recently, I attended Bloggy Conference at Cedar Point with my family. Let’s be honest, I went to this conference mostly to spend time with my family since we received a really great hotel price and complimentary tickets to the park each day during the conference. What I learned during the sessions I did attend, as well as the tickets we received, were well worth of the price of the conference.
During the end of the conference, I got teary when I the Public Relation Director, Bryan Edwards, talked about how he visits various organizations to talk about Cedar Point. He states every time, he can see people smiling remembering their experiences and trip to the park with their own family and friends. You don’t usually remember gifts you were given but you remember experiences and trips with your family. This is so very true.
His discussion reminded me of the wonderful times me and my cousins had when my grandpa would take us to a local amusement park in Indiana. It has since been shut down but those memories will never fade. My grandpa was probably a little crazy to take so many of his grandchildren by himself at one time but he did. I vividly remember his hair flying a bit when he would ride the one big roller coaster at this park with us. These are wonderful memories and I’m so thankful that I have them even though it has been over 16 years since he passed.
The memories that our family made at Cedar Point in September are going to be memories they will have forever! Except maybe that last hour in the park when they all went a little spaz-tastic! (Mom + 4 kids by herself…that was a little crazy, right?)
The Bloggy Conference is one I will be attending next year as long as our schedule allows.
Stay tuned for the next posts in this series – Our Stay at Hotel Breakers and our time at the park.
Disclosure: I paid to attend Bloggy Conference. In return, I received complimentary tickets to Cedar Point. There was no monetary compensation or posts required in exchange for this package.
