One of the best tips from my super-Disney Savvy aunts was to rent strollers for the kids, who were 6 and 4 at the time. Trust me, renting a stroller while at Disney will save you time and energy. Energy is a precious resource when you are on a trip to Disney so it is well worth the money you will spend on the rental.
There is a fee to rent the strollers from Disney but when you rent at least you don’t have to worry about someone stealing your expensive stroller or getting the stroller to and from the parks. I can’t imagine having to open and close the stroller every time we rode the bus back to the hotel or to another park.
As you know, there is a lot of walking involved with the Magic. If you can swing it, rent a stroller. We did two single strollers instead of double stroller to eliminate fighting and because it is easier to maneuver single strollers than a massive double stroller. Looking at the current prices, you will save a little money by renting a stroller for each child instead of renting a double stroller.
I thought our six year old son would be offended by the stroller but he welcomed him as his legs tired very quickly at the parks. Plus, it is always nice to have a place to stash your purse and snacks.
Disclosure: I paid to attend the Disney Social Media Conference. In return, I received highly discounted park tickets, hotel, and a gift bag. There was no monetary compensation or posts required in exchange for this package.
